The firm is now seeking an experienced Managing Director, to lead in the next phase of growth. This role is for someone who values transparency, open communication, and has the desire to be a servant leader. 

Being the Managing Director at Seafood People is a challenging and dynamic role. The position requires a unique set of skills that allows for balancing business development, leadership and project delivery. In addition, as Managing Director, you are responsible for empowering and supporting a team of high-performing professionals driving them towards continued excellence and success as a servant leader.

Responsibilities include:

  • An understanding of management consulting, executive search, and the seafood industry.
  • Understanding market trends, forces, and competition.
  • Overseeing operations, including business development and project delivery.
  • Managing budgets, timelines, and resources effectively while maintaining client relations and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Setting the company's direction in collaboration with the board and driving business growth.
  • Cultivating a culture of excellence and motivation.
  • Ensuring the company complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining a positive work environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, and professional growth.
  • Attracting and retaining talent to ensure the right people with the right skills meet business objectives.
  • Travelling to trade shows and client meetings when needed.

Skills or Requirements.

  • A degree in business, management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in professional services, with strong leadership abilities.
  • A track record of delivering quality work while effectively managing teams and budgets.
  • The ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An innovative, proactive, and adaptable mindset.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong acumen for analyzing data, identifying trends, and developing insights that help clients achieve their goals.
  • A thorough understanding of, or strong interest in, the seafood industry, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments.
  • The ability to develop open and trusting relationships, treating people fairly and with respect, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
