Laxey is hiring an ambitious Station Manager to be responsible for the operation of the company’s fish farm on land in Vestmannaeyjar.
Laxey plans to produce 32 thousand tons of salmon on land in Vestmannaeyjar in a sustainable way. The production of salmon for export is estimated by the end of year 2025.

The station will use a flow-through system with about 65% reuse, where clean seawater is pumped up through the station and cleaned before being returned to the sea.
Residence in Vestmannaeyjar is a requirement for the job.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Responsibility for animal health, safety, quality and production
Responsibility for the day to day operations, production schedules and organization
Leading, training and supporting staff
Supervision of quality control
Implementation of work standards and fulfillment of production goals.
Supervision of the startup of the facility
Analysis of performance to increase production capacity and efficiency
Inventory management of feed and other materials
Qualifications:
Degree in Aquaculture
University degree and/or extensive experience in fish farming
Management experience is essential
Initiative and motivation
Good leadership skills
