GroAqua Group is an international industrial platform delivering technology, engineering and solutions to the global aquaculture industry. The Group specializes in facilitating sustainable fish growth by remotely monitoring and controlling feeding and breeding processes – in both seawater and freshwater environments.
Through its companies across the Nordics and the UK, GroAqua supports some of the world’s largest and most advanced aquaculture operators. The Group combines technological expertise, operational insight and commercial execution to deliver solutions across complex aquaculture value chains.
GroAqua’s UK operation, based in Inverness - Scotland, plays a central role in this international platform. From Inverness, the company delivers services, technology and project capabilities to leading aquaculture players across the Nordic region and beyond. The business acts both as a competence and technology hub and as a commercial driver within the Group.
We are now seeking a new CEO to lead GroAqua UK into its next phase of development and growth.
The Role
As CEO, you will have full responsibility for the strategic and operational development of the UK business. You will lead a company operating in complex value chains, serving major aquaculture players across the Nordics and internationally.
The role requires the ability to balance strategic direction with hands-on operational leadership. You will further strengthen the company’s position as a trusted partner to leading aquaculture companies, while driving profitable growth and developing new commercial opportunities across markets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full P&L responsibility
- Strategic and operational leadership of the company
- Further development of organization, structure and execution capability
- Strengthening the company’s role as a competence and technology hub within the Group
- Commercial development and growth across sea-based and land-based aquaculture segments
- Actively fostering a strong working environment and creating the conditions for a high-performing culture
- Building leadership capability and ensuring alignment across teams and geographies
- Active collaboration and synergy development across GroAqua Group
- Relationship building with key customers, partners and stakeholders
We are looking for a unifying and commercially strong leader
GroAqua UK consists of highly competent engineers, technical specialists and project professionals. As CEO, you will further develop this competence-driven organization through clear communication, trust-based leadership and the ability to align people around common goals.
We are seeking a leader who combines commercial acumen with industrial insight and visible operational presence.
Key qualifications:
- Proven experience leading and developing industrial or technology-driven businesses
- Strong commercial mindset and documented growth responsibility
- Experience from complex and demanding B2B markets
- Solid understanding of the interplay between technology, market and operational delivery
- Demonstrated ability to build strong teams and high-performance cultures
- Experience operating across geographies and building cross-border collaboration
- Background from aquaculture, maritime, engineering or industrial sectors is advantageous
Location and travel
The role is based in Inverness, Scotland, and we ideally seek a CEO who is resident in the region and able to maintain a strong local presence in the organization.
For the right candidate, alternative arrangements may be considered, provided there is a clear commitment to regular and visible presence in Inverness.
Regular travel within the Nordics and internationally should be expected as part of collaboration across GroAqua Group and customer engagement.
